LNG storage tank booster (pry) is one of the important equipment in LNG gasification stations and other related places. It is mainly used to boost the low-temperature liquid natural gas in LNG storage tanks, so that it can overcome pipeline resistance and pressure requirements of subsequent process equipment, smoothly flow to gasifiers and other equipment for gasification treatment, and meet the demand of users for gaseous natural gas. It usually adopts a pry mounted structure, integrating the turbocharger, pipelines, valves, instruments, and control system on one pry body, which has the advantages of compact structure, small footprint, easy installation, use, and transportation.
The operation of LNG storage tank booster (pry) mainly relies on automatic boosting regulating valve and self boosting air temperature gasifier. When the pressure inside the storage tank is lower than the set opening value of the automatic pressure boosting valve, the automatic pressure boosting valve opens, and the LNG in the storage tank flows into the self pressurized air temperature gasifier through the liquid level difference (its installation height should be lower than the lowest liquid level of the storage tank). In a self pressurized air temperature gasifier, LNG is vaporized into gaseous natural gas through heat exchange with air, and then the gaseous natural gas flows into a storage tank, raising the pressure inside the tank to the required working pressure. With the continuous inflow of gaseous natural gas, the pressure in the storage tank continues to rise. When the pressure reaches the closing pressure of the automatic pressure control valve (about 10% higher than the set opening pressure), the automatic pressure control valve closes and the pressure boosting process ends. As the gasification process continues, when the pressure inside the storage tank is lower than the opening pressure set by the booster valve, the automatic booster valve opens and starts a new round of boosting
